Brussels’ Grand Place will be the setting for a sound and vision tribute to David Bowie tonight (11 January) from 6pm to 10pm.
The legendary British singer’s death from cancer at the age of 69 was announced this morning, sparking an international outpouring of grief.
The Christmas sound and light show in Brussels’ Grand Place usually combines instrumental music with a light show projected onto the beautiful buildings on the square.
But the music will be replaced by the best Bowie songs, according to Brussels politicians on social media.
Bowie’s latest album Blackstar was released on 8 January to critical acclaim. His 18 month fight against cancer was a closely guarded secret.
