Heard in Europe

On Tuesday (16 December), the Danish Ministry for Culture announced that former EU Commissioner Connie Hedegaard, who was previously in charge of Climate Action under Barroso II, has a new job:

Starting in January 2015, Hedegaard will be chairman of the Danish Public Service Committee. The next two years, Hedegaard will be overseeing and supervising ‘the future for public service TV stations in Denmark’.

The new job should suit the former commissioner: Before being elected a conservative member of the Danish Parliament and long before moving to Brussels, Hedegaard was a news anchor at DR, the national TV broadcaster.
